After 7 amazing years of serving our community, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our restaurant on November 8, 2024.
We are incredibly grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us throughout the years. Every meal shared, every celebration hosted, and every memory made in our space has meant the world to us.
While this decision was not easy, we want to cherish our remaining time with you. We invite you to join us in the coming weeks to savor your favorite dishes and help us create a few more lasting memories before we say goodbye.

A little bit of Ponsonby in Albany, Black Rice brings Chinese techniques and the zingy street food of South-East Asia together over cocktails.
OUR FOOD
Spices from the mountainous southwest region of China and zingy herbs from the picturesque plateau of South-East Asia, combined with locally sourced fresh produce to make every dish a WOK of art.
OUR DRINKS
Our legendary cocktails are probably the best on this side of the bridge. Between the Bluebird, the Virgin Lychee Mojito and Tokyo Club, we reckon the hardest part about coming in to visit us will be deciding what to drink first.
